Our Policies

 Welcome! We want you to enjoy your hand-made item and have a wonderful shopping experience with us!  We ask that our customers please read our policies prior to their purchase.  

  

-ALL SALES ARE FINAL. ( Items are non-refundable. No refunds, exchanges, cancellations, returns, size changes or item swaps ). Please check our size charts page before ordering. Choose the size carefully and use the drop-down box feature to select the size before you checkout to avoid errors. 

-"In stock & ready to ship" items ship out within 10 business days. Please check to make sure that your item is an "in stock" item. Monogrammed items take an additional 2 weeks.

-Customers who purchase a "pre-order" item can not request size changes, exchanges cancellations, refunds, or item swaps once the payment has been made by the customer.  

-"Pre-orders" take a few months during the production process because each item is made-to-order and hand-made. If you have not received your item during the in stock item time frame, it may be because your item is a "pre-order" item rather than an "in stock" item, please check the product's page on the website or the "pre-order" section on the website for a shipping date.  The pre-order shipping dates for pre-order items are provided prior to purchase and located in those areas for customers to check. The pre-order section on the website is a LIVE document and changes are updated on that list often. 

-For pre-order customers, please carefully choose the size that your child will be wearing after the estimated shipping date. If your item is too big or too small, we recommend that you visit the Southern Smocked Company website to see if that same item or a similar item is available for you to purchase in another size. We do not want your item that doesn't fit to go to waste, so here are some ideas for you: sell it on the Southern Smocked Company Buy Sell Trade Facebook page, donate it to a child in need, give it as a gift to another child, pass it down to a younger family member, or save it for next year!

 

-OUR ITEMS ARE HAND-MADE. All smocked items are hand-made and that is what makes our outfits so special and unique! Slight variations and minor flaws are to be expected. Refunds are not given for slight variations or minor flaws. Refunds/Partial Refunds are not given for reasons such as a measurement being slightly off compared to the size chart, a loose button, a button falling off, or a loose thread. We recommend that you ask your local seamstress or family member or friend that is handy with a needle and thread to fasten the button or tighten the loose thread. Seamstresses often don't charge for fixing something so minor. However, we do apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you. 

- It is a rare occasion, but if there is any error on our part or if the item is damaged upon arrival, please contact us at help@southernsmockedcompany.com to discuss the ways we can fix it.

 

- ONCE AN ITEM HAS SHIPPED, it is the responsibility of USPS to get your items to you and on time! USPS is responsible for any missing, lost, or delayed packages. Southern Smocked Company is not responsible for missing, lost or delayed packages once it is in the hands of USPS. Refunds will not be issued nor will replacement items be sent. We recommend contacting your local post office and neighbors to help you locate a missing package. If the item has stalled midway through the shipping process and is causing a delay, call USPS Customer Service to file a claim: 1-800-275-8777. We recommend that you visit the Southern Smocked Company website to see if that same item or a similar item is available for you to make another purchase. 

-Shipping labels are printed out in advance to prepare for the shipping day. If you receive an update or alert that your item has shipped, that may not always be the case! Once the shipping label is printed, the emailed alert is automatically sent from the website system. If the tracking has not updated in a few days to show that it has moved since the initial alert, that may be due to the owner printing the shipping labels in advance. So we would recommend that you give it a few more days and then you should see it starting to move and the tracking starting to update. No reason to worry! 


-If you have not received your item during the in stock item time frame, it may be because your item is a "pre-order" item rather than an "in stock" item, please check the product's page on the website or the "pre-order" section on the website for a shipping date.  

-If you need an update on the package during the tracking process, we are glad to help you by giving you a tracking update or tracking number for you to follow.
